The ONLY solution is to learn FASTER

Part 1: Learning how to AI learn

Friday, smooth AI operator! Let’s make AI work more, and you less, in 5 min:

One of my priorities with this newsletter is to make you AI future-proof.

So I spend a good amount of time figuring out what skills you need, to stay AHEAD of the increasingly smart AI.

Because if you can put AI to work for you, master it, you will stay on the wave, not get hit by it.

So one of the top 5 skills to MASTER AI (more will come in future newsletters, part of a series):

Learning how to AI learn

And here’s how in 6 steps with simple prompts (practical, easy, effective):

  1. Personalized Learning Path:

    • "ChatGPT, I want to learn [topic]. Design a personalized learning plan for me, considering my current knowledge level, learning style, and time constraints."

  2. Content Curation (use Perplexity for this):

    • "Can you curate a list of the most relevant and reliable resources (articles, videos, courses) on [topic] for someone with [your level of expertise]?"

  3. Concept Clarification:

    • "Explain [complex concept] in simple terms, with real-life examples and analogies."

    • "I'm struggling to understand [concept]. Can you provide alternative explanations or visualizations?"

  4. Knowledge Assessment (don’t skip this):

    • "Create a quiz or set of questions to test my understanding of [topic]."

    • "Can you provide feedback on my [essay/project] and suggest areas for improvement?"

  5. Skill Development:

    • "What are the most effective techniques for [skill] development? Suggest resources and practice exercises."

    • "Can you role-play a scenario where I practice [skill]? Provide feedback and guidance."

  6. Motivation/accountability:

    • "I'm feeling demotivated. Share some inspiring quotes or success stories related to learning [topic]."

    • "Can you act as my accountability partner and help me track my learning progress?"

Extra: crafting effective prompts to get the most out of ChatGPT

  • Be specific: Clearly define your learning goals and needs.

  • Provide context: Share your current knowledge level and preferences.

  • Experiment: Try different prompts and phrasing to find what works best for you.

  • Iterate: Refine your prompts based on ChatGPT's responses and your evolving understanding.

Beyond ChatGPT:

  • Leverage AI-powered tools: Explore language learning apps, adaptive learning platforms, and intelligent tutoring systems.

  • Participate in online communities: Connect with fellow learners, mentors, and AI experts for support and collaboration.

  • Cultivate critical thinking: Evaluate AI-generated content and develop your own judgment and discernment please.

Important personal consideration: AI is a tool.

Use it to augment, not replace, your own effort and initiative.
